From Code to Cloud: Deploying Your First App on Azure Container Apps

For decades, running applications meant buying servers, managing data centers, and handling everything yourself. Then the cloud changed everything. But with so many services and concepts, where do you even start? This session takes you on a guided journey through the evolution of application deployment. We'll start by understanding what we left behind with on-premises infrastructure and why organizations are moving to the cloud. Then we'll explore Azure as a platform and understand its foundational building blocks. From there, we'll dive into containerization, the technology that revolutionized how we package and ship applications. Finally, we'll bring it all together with Azure Container Apps, a powerful yet simple service for running your containerized applications in production. By the end of this session, you'll understand: *Why cloud computing replaced traditional infrastructure. *How Azure organizes resources and subscriptions. *What containers are and why they matter. *How to deploy a containerized application to Azure Container Apps. This talk includes a live demo where we'll deploy a real application to the cloud. Perfect for developers, students, and IT professionals.
