Who we are

AI Community Days ("AICD", "we") is a global, community-led series of AI events. The website aicommunitydays.ai and the global programme are operated by MCEXPERT SRL, a company registered in Belgium, which is the data controller for the data described here. Individual city events are run by local organizers, who may also process attendee data for their own event.

Contact for anything about your data: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, the basic profile those services share (name, email, photo).
  • Event data: registrations, tickets, check-in and attendance, and the certificates of participation issued to you.
  • Interest in future cities: when you tell us you want to attend, speak, sponsor, co-organize or volunteer in a city, the details you give (name, email, company, role, LinkedIn profile, message).
  • Forms: messages sent through the contact, sponsor, partner and host forms, and newsletter subscriptions.
  • Speakers: the public profile and session information speakers submit, including through Sessionize.
  • Usage data: audience statistics from our own cookieless analytics, described below. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data.

Why we use it

  • To run events: registration, tickets, communication before and after the event, and certificates (performance of our agreement with you).
  • To plan new cities: to tell you when a city you asked for gets a date, and to contact you if you offered to speak, sponsor or co-organize (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To answer the messages you send us (our legitimate interest).
  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to (your consent).
  • To keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest).
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to our events, with the analytics below (our legitimate interest).

Analytics

We measure our audience with our own cookieless analytics. We don't set cookies or store anything on your device for analytics, and we don't store your IP address or browser details. Each visit is counted with a code computed from them and a random value that changes every day and is deleted after two days, so we cannot recognise you from one day to the next.

We record the page, the site that sent you, campaign tags in the link, your country and city (from our network provider, when available), device type, screen-size class and browser language. Raw records are kept 13 months; anonymous daily totals longer. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: when your browser sends either signal, nothing is recorded.

This applies since 10 October 2026. Visits recorded before that date by our previous statistics tool also include the IP address and browser details.

Who we share it with

With the local organizers of an event you register for or show interest in, so they can run it. With service providers that host and operate the site on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (network and security; the site runs on our own server behind it), Microsoft 365 (email) and, for paid tickets, Stripe. Certificate verification pages are public by design: anyone with the link or QR code can see the name, event and date on a certificate. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Account and event data for as long as your account exists, and certificates for as long as they can be verified. Interest in a future city until that event has taken place or the plan is dropped. Form messages for up to two years. Analytics records for 13 months, and anonymous daily totals longer. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date above. See also our Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
