About Modern Work Conference Manila 2026

Technology changes fast. Learning from each other is how we keep up.

Join Modern Work Conference Manila (MWCMNL), a community-led conference for professionals and students passionate about Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, AI, and the Modern Work platform.

MWCMNL is built on a simple belief: some of the best learning comes from practitioners who solve real business challenges every day. This is not a sales event or a marketing showcase. It is an opportunity to hear directly from architects, consultants, administrators, developers, MVPs, and community leaders who share practical experiences, lessons learned, successes, failures, and insights gained from the field.
Rooted in the global aOS → aMS → aMP community movement, MWCMNL continues a long-standing tradition of independent, non-profit, community-driven knowledge sharing that connects professionals across cities worldwide.

Visible Modern Work Leadership: Strengthening AI Adoption, Trust, and Team Performance

Modern work is changing faster than most teams can adapt. Microsoft 365, Copilot, AI agents, automation, and collaboration platforms are reshaping how people communicate, decide, create, and lead. Yet technology adoption stalls when employees do not trust the tools, understand the value, or feel confident using their voice in new workflows. This practical session reframes confidence as a measurable modern work and human-readiness competency, not a personality trait. Using the VISIBLE™ Framework — Voice, Identity, Spotlight, Inner Work, Belief, Leverage, and Elevation — participants will examine how visibility gaps affect AI adoption, collaboration, change communication, team trust, knowledge sharing, and leadership presence. Attendees will leave with a repeatable framework for surfacing concerns earlier, communicating value clearly, and strengthening human readiness across Microsoft-powered teams. For modern work to deliver real outcomes, visibility must become part of the adoption strategy. By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Identify three visibility gaps that can limit AI adoption, collaboration, knowledge sharing, team trust, and modern work performance. 2. Apply the VISIBLE™ Framework to assess how voice, identity, spotlight, inner work, belief, leverage, and elevation influence human readiness. 3. Design a practical communication strategy that helps teams surface concerns, share knowledge, and adopt Microsoft-powered workflows with greater trust.

Small teams, Big Impact: How Microsoft Copilot Agents Are Changing the Way We Work

In this talk, we’ll explore how Microsoft365 Copilot began by embedding AI into the apps we already use, automating tasks like drafting emails, building presentations, and designing forms. That was just the beginning. Today, with Microsoft365 Copilot Agents, businesses can assign digital specialists to specific roles, each trained to read your documents, policies, and data, and ready to advise on tasks like strategic planning, hiring, customer service, and decision-making. These agents don’t just automate, they collaborate, helping small teams operate with the clarity, speed, and capacity of much larger ones. You’ll walk away with practical ideas on how to get more done with less—boosting productivity, scaling your team’s output, and staying competitive even when resources are tight

Bring Your Foundry Agent to Copilot Studio: A2A Integration Between Pro-Code and Low-Code Agents

What A demo-driven session showing how to connect a Microsoft Foundry agent to a Copilot Studio agent using the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol — enabling pro-code and low-code platforms to work together as a unified enterprise AI solution. Why Makers build in Copilot Studio, developers build in Foundry — and the two worlds rarely connect. A2A bridges that gap, enabling agents across both platforms to delegate and collaborate as peers. Without it, organisations duplicate logic and maintain disconnected experiences. This session shows the integration pattern that unifies both portfolios. How • A2A protocol architecture — agent discovery, delegation, handoff, and Entra Agent ID authentication model • Live demo — pre-built Foundry agent exposing an A2A endpoint consumed by a Copilot Studio agent with real context delegation demonstrated end to end • When to use A2A versus MCP or direct API calls — and how Microsoft Agent 365 governs both platforms • Q&A on architecture, authentication, and real-world implementation challenges Who Solution architects, enterprise developers, and Power Platform leads working across pro-code and low-code teams. Solid Copilot Studio or Foundry experience required. Skill level: Advanced. Prerequisites • Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio agent actions or Microsoft Foundry Agent Service • Basic understanding of OAuth 2.0 and REST APIs • General awareness of A2A and MCP protocols recommended Top 3 Key Takeaways 1. A complete architectural understanding of A2A integration between Foundry and Copilot Studio — including authentication, delegation patterns, and enterprise governance. 2. A concrete mental model of production A2A integration — seen live with real context passing, response handling, and error recovery. 3. A decision framework for choosing between A2A, MCP, and direct API integration for any agent-to-agent scenario.

Building the Foundation for AI: Governance, Security, and Knowledge in Microsoft 365

Everyone is eager to adopt AI, but technology alone does not guarantee success. The quality, security, and structure of your data ultimately determine the value AI can deliver. Without a strong foundation, organizations often face challenges such as inaccurate responses, overshared information, inconsistent content, and low user trust. In this session, we'll explore the critical foundations required to make Microsoft 365 truly AI-ready. Drawing from real-world enterprise experiences with SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Embedded, you'll learn how to transform scattered content into a trusted knowledge platform that enables secure and effective AI adoption. Key topics include: Designing scalable information architecture Improving content quality, metadata, and discoverability Securing information and reducing oversharing risks Implementing governance, retention, and ownership strategies Building AI-ready knowledge platforms with SharePoint Embedded Preparing your content ecosystem for Microsoft Copilot and custom AI solutions You will also discover practical methods to: ✅ Assess your organization's AI readiness ✅ Identify governance and security gaps ✅ Prioritize quick wins with measurable impact ✅ Create a roadmap aligned with real business and AI use cases Whether you're planning your Copilot rollout, strengthening governance, or building the next generation of AI-powered applications, this session will provide the strategies and best practices needed to establish a trusted knowledge foundation for AI success.

Enterprise AI Development, Year Three. Own Your Agent

For my third year speaking in Manila on enterprise AI development, I’m bringing the third act. Ownership. Enterprise teams now need to answer harder questions. Where does the agent run? What can it access? Which skills define its behavior? What data boundaries does it respect? What test proves the behavior still works after the next change? In this live technical session, live, we will inspect real skill files, run validation checks, execute behavioral tests, and write a new failure-mode eval for a privacy boundary. The architecture uses OpenClaw as the runtime, Tula skills for inspectable domain behavior, Microsoft infrastructure for the enterprise integration layer, and Waza evals for the verification harness. The goal is simple. Move from impressive Agent demos to owned, inspectable, and verifiable agents that enterprise teams can actually operate.

Beyond the Monolithic Prompt: Designing Scalable Multi-Agent Orchestration Patterns

Stop trying to build a single, monolithic AI model that is a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. Just like human organizations, complex enterprise problems are best solved by teams of highly specialized agents working together. This presentation outlines the five structural patterns used to coordinate agent collaboration, manage state, and prevent conversational infinite loops. Attendees will leave with a blueprint for designing predictable, cost-effective, and deeply collaborative AI systems.
