Guidelines from the organizers

This is the team application for the AI App Makers Hackathon: Build an AI Teammate, online on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December 2026.

It uses our speaker submission form, so some words on this page say "talk" or "speaker". Read them as "project" and "team member":
• Title: your project name.
• Abstract: your idea in 3 to 5 sentences: what the AI does, and what the person decides.
• Format: Team project.
• Track: the track your team builds in.
• Co-speakers: the other members of your team (up to 4).
One application per team, sent by the team lead. Every member also registers on the event page. If you have no team, apply alone and we help you find one.

The three tracks: low-code AI teammate (Power Apps with Copilot, Copilot Studio agents and agent flows), data-powered AI teammate (Dataverse and Microsoft Fabric, with Power BI), and the open track (any AI app builder or stack, or your own code).

Dates. Applications close on Monday 23 November 2026 at 23:59 Paris time. We send answers on Thursday 26 November, and selected teams confirm by Sunday 29 November.

How we select. We look at a clear problem and user, the fit with a challenge, a plan that fits in two days, and the mix of skills in the team. We keep places for people who apply alone.

The rules, the challenges and the schedule are on the event page: aicommunitydays.ai/events/ai-app-makers-hackathon-2026. Questions: [email protected].

What speakers get

A certificate for every person in a team that submits a project. For finalists, the results moment on stage at the AICD Summit in Tunis on Saturday 5 December, in person or by video. For the winners, a demo in our online AI App Makers series on Thursday 10 December.

Good to know

  • You can edit or withdraw a proposal until the call closes. Each speaker can send up to 1 proposal.

  • Speaking with someone? Invite up to 4 co-speakers to your talk once it is saved.

How review works

From your proposal to the stage

  1. Step 1: Send your proposal

A title, an abstract and the format you have in mind. You get a receipt by email, and you can edit it until the call closes.

  2. Step 2: The local team reviews

The event’s organizers read and score every proposal against the same criteria.

  3. Step 3: You hear back

Decisions go out by email to every speaker, accepted or not. Your space on the site shows where each proposal stands.

  4. Step 4: Take the stage

Accepted? Confirm within 3 days and your talk goes on the event page, with your speaker profile.
